Professional Learning Series - STAAR Elementary RLA
ECR: Calibrating & Scoring




This 4-part learning series is designed to support instruction to build STAAR readiness. The series will begin with information about STAAR questions and rigor, will calibrate and score Extended Constructed responses, discuss instructional implications, and plan a Reading Review.

Important Session Information:


Session 2 of our STAAR series will focus on understanding the ECR rubric, calibrating on the rubric and scoring writing samples.  Participants will be sent a passage and a prompt for students to complete and will bring their samples (2 classes maximum)  to the session to be scored.  We will discuss next steps in instruction.
