Understanding the Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE)
From the Lens of a Dyslexia Interventionist or Specialist

A Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) can be intimidating and confusing. The FIE includes a “variety of assessment tools and strategies” to gather information about a child. Understanding the concepts within an FIE is critical, as Dyslexia Interventionists are in a unique position to facilitate a better understanding of a student suspected of or identified with a reading disability. Dyslexia Interventionists may be called upon to assist in developing a child’s IEP, including discussing the child’s involvement in the general curriculum and determining an appropriate educational program for the child. This training will include practical examples of FIEs and case studies of students identified with a reading disability.

Important Session Information:

Dr. Mertie Gomez will provide insight into the FIE for the dyslexia interventionist or specialist.

Due to the interactive nature of this presentation, the only option for this training is onsite.
