MTSS TIER Behavior & Mental Health Modules
Interconnected Systems Framework: Getting Started at the District/Community Level




The TIER MTSS framework is promoted by the Texas Education Agency. This framework is an intentional and systematic approach for meeting students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs. MTSS promotes collaboration among general and special education teachers, support specialists, and communication with families.  MTSS is data driven and utilizes evidence-based strategies for every learner.

The Behavior & Mental Heath Modules provide the following Pathways:

  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

  • Partnering With Families Within PBIS

  • Universal Examples of PBIS Implementation


Important Session Information:


Thoughtful Thursdays are virtual sessions that will focus on Behavior & Mental Health Modules of the TEA TIER Learning.  Each session will be given independently of one another.  Some sessions may last less than 3 hours.
