What is the purpose of an accommodation? What are the basic underlying principles and terms? What does routinely, independently and effectively mean? How can I provide accommodations in the classroom that support state assessment accommodations?
STAAR Accommodations are divided into three main categories:
- Accessibility Features
- Locally-Approved Designated Supports
- Designated Supports Requiring TEA Approval
Join us to take a deeper look at the tools available to educators so that students are never surprised on test day!
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops, samples of supplemental aides used in the classroom and STAAR, a copy of the list of accommodations your decision making committees use in decision making meetings (RTI, ARD, IEP, LPAC).
