Introduction to STAAR Writing - Grades 3rd-6th




This is the second of a 4-part learning series that is designed to support instruction to build STAAR Reading and Writing readiness for Grades 3rd-6th.  This session will focus on information about STAAR writing and how to support and strengthen daily student instruction with SCR's and ECR's. 

We will calibrate writing samples.  Teachers will need to bring student writing samples to be scored.

Important Session Information:


The second session of our STAAR series that will focus on understanding the ECR rubric, calibrating on the rubric and scoring writing samples. Participants will be sent a passage and a prompt for students to complete and will bring their samples (2 classes maximum) to the session to be scored.
