In this virtual session, David Hodgins will share tips and best practice tips to help districts decide how to properly review and respond to a request for a FIE including reviewing when a Full Individual and Initial Evaluation (FIIE) isn't needed. He'll explain when an FIIE may not be necessary and give guidance to help districts as they review the special education referral. David will also guide district staff on correctly filling out the Prior Written Notice (PWN) if an FIIE isn't done, ensuring that the district’s PWN clearly communicates the reason for not completing the FIIE.
