The implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) brings a necessary shift toward conceptual understanding and rigorous application in Texas mathematics. However, this rigor can present significant barriers for students with access needs, learning gaps, or disabilities if instructional scaffolds are not systematically in place.
This session is designed to provide a comprehensive support system to ensure Tier 1 instruction remains accessible to every student without lowering academic expectations. By balancing conceptual and procedural rigorous instruction using cohesive strategies, models and terminology, we create a consistent culture of high achievement.
