Child Nutrition: Procurement Food Service Vendor Contracts

Contacting entities (CE) must obtain good and services at the lowest possible price by utilizing a multi-step process called procurement. The steps in this process include planning, writing specifications, announcing/advertising the procurement, awarding a contract, and managing the contract.


Important Session Information:


This session is an in-person session at Region 6 ESC, 3332 Montgomery Rd, Huntsville Texas 77340. Participants will develop a 4-step action plan to implement at their School Food Authority or organization to conduct self-checks of current or future formal contracts for consultants, vended meal services, and food service management companies. Participants will learn about the documentation requirements needed to provide during a Procurement 
Review when procuring a food service contractor or vendor, as well as top-findings.
