Join us for an engaging, hands-on two-day professional learning experience focused on strengthening writing instruction through explicit, research-based practices. Grounded in the Hochman Method and The Writing Revolution 2.0, this training equips educators with practical strategies to improve student writing across all content areas.
Participants will learn how to explicitly teach sentence construction, expand student responses, and support students in organizing their thinking for clear, coherent writing. Through modeling, guided practice, and application, teachers will experience how small, intentional instructional moves at the sentence level can lead to exceptional results in student writing.
This training is especially valuable for supporting STAAR-aligned constructed responses and building students’ ability to communicate their thinking effectively in writing.
Each participant will receive a copy of The Writing Revolution 2.0 to support implementation beyond the training.
This opportunity is provided at no cost through a TEA-funded literacy grant dedicated to supporting high-quality professional learning for Region 6 educators.
