Navigating daily life can be especially challenging for students experiencing homelessness, foster care, or military-connected transitions. These challenges may create barriers that affect their stability, engagement, and academic success.
Region 6 has prepared an informative and valuable day of learning for staff who serve and support highly mobile student populations. Participants will receive practical guidance, helpful tools, and resources designed to address the unique needs of each student group. Representatives from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) will also share valuable information, strategies, and best practices for helping highly mobile students overcome barriers and succeed.
