G/T Online: Nature and Needs of G/T Students 19-20
In this online course, you will learn about the cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics of gifted students. You will contribute ideas to group discussions, share your own experiences, and research related information. The objectives will be met through online research, investigation of district information and practices, and discussions. You will take a 10-question test at the end of the course. This workshop meets the state mandate (19 TAC 89.2(1) specifically Section 4.1.1C of the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students for teachers working toward the state required 30 hours of training for gifted educators. This workshop highlights often seen characteristics and behaviors of gifted students for classroom teachers and others new to the field of gifted education.
