Culture & Community: Understanding the World through Pre-K Social Studies
This session will focus on social studies at the Pre-Kindergarten level. During this session, we will take a look at the state expectations through the Pre-K social studies guidelines, work through some engaging activities aligned to these standards, discuss how best to teach social studies in the event of school closings, and collaborate through discussion boards on ways to ensure your Pre-K students are ready for Kindergarten. The session will provide 3 CPE hours toward compliance with the 30-hour statutory requirements for PK teacher qualifications under TEC, Chapter 21, Subchapter B.
