GT Identification and Assessing the Needs of G/T Students




In this course, you will gain understanding of how to implement Texas law and the State Board of Education rule concerning the assessment and identification of gifted and talented students. You will also learn about methods of assessment that help accurately identify the needs of the gifted students in a district. You will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share your own experiences, and research related information. You will take a 10-question test at the end of the course. This workshop meets the state mandate (19 TAC 89.2(1) specifically Section 4.1.1C of the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students for teachers working toward the state required 30 hours of training for gifted educators.

For districts participating in the Advanced Academic (GT) contract there will be no charge, the charge will be removed at checkout.

This session will be conducted in-person from 9 AM to 4 PM, including a lunch break. Please ensure your laptops or tablets are fully charged for use during the session.
