STAAR and Stripes Review Series: Planning for the High School US History STAAR (Part 2)




There is no silver bullet review to ensure student success on the STAAR.  If there is a secret weapon, it is reviewing throughout the year.  But you need a plan...

The STAAR and Stripes Review Series is designed to do just that—to provide you with a year-long plan, starting now, not later.  In this second session, we will continue the journey of devising an effective and efficient plan for STAAR review. The session will begin with a pacing check and an in-depth view of what to expect on this year's STAAR test. We will then focus on answering Short Constructed Response questions and using STAAR supplemental aids.  To end the day, teachers will begin the process of creating an instructional plan that organically includes the spiraling of previously taught content that spans the remaining school year. Teachers will learn how to create recurring, purposeful opportunities for students to revisit and retain essential content—boosting long-term mastery and confidence.
