Making Math Click with Perimeter, Area, Volume, and Conversions
3rd-5th Math

Math makes the most sense when students can see it, touch it, and build it before jumping into numbers and symbols. This course explores the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) approach, a step-by-step framework that helps students move from hands-on learning to visual models and, finally, to confident abstract thinking. Educators will learn how to bring math to life with engaging manipulatives and real-world connections. By the end of the session, you'll have a toolkit of strategies to make math more concrete, more visual, and more powerful for every student.
