This session will provide participants a hands-on experience to the Tests of Dyslexia (TOD™), which is the first comprehensive assessment of dyslexia, eliminating the need to use tests from different assessments.
Composed of three batteries, including a screener, the TOD includes screening and assessing dyslexia in people ages 5-89. The TOD also includes rating scales designed to capture qualitative indicators of dyslexia. Most importantly, the TOD includes the Dyslexia Interventions and Recommendations guide to help examiners develop IEPs and targeted intervention plans to address specific skill weaknesses.
This session is appropriate for reading specialists, educational diagnosticians, school psychologists, and speech-language pathologists. This session requires participants to have the TOD kits in the session. In small groups, participants will engage in hands on activities to discover the potential of each test from the TOD.
