Project Based Learning: The History Day Way!

In this dynamic six-hour National History Day workshop, teachers will dive into hands-on professional development focused on project-based learning, sharpening historical thinking skills, and exploring practical, classroom-ready strategies to bring the National History Day program to life for their students. National History Day is a highly regarded project-based learning program that engages students in historical research and analysis and fosters creative project development. In Texas, this inspiring program takes shape as Texas History Day, the official state affiliate proudly sponsored by the Texas State Historical Association. While the workshop is designed with Social Studies teachers in grades 6–12 in mind, it is also a great fit for Language Arts teachers and Librarians who support student research projects.
