Inspire, Don't Require: Supporting AAC Through Play, Access, and Connection

Ready to move beyond the basics of AAC? This session is designed for early childhood educators looking to deepen their AAC implementation practices and create more meaningful communication opportunities throughout the school day. Participants will explore how play, engagement, and relationships can serve as powerful foundations for communication while learning practical strategies for increasing AAC access and embedding AAC into daily routines and child-led activities.

Grounded in the belief that communication grows through connection, this session will highlight ways to foster authentic interactions, increase student engagement, and support meaningful participation. Leave with practical ideas to help AAC users communicate, connect, and thrive through play, access, and relationships.
