2016 Region 16 Early Childhood Conference




This conference is for all early childhood educators. Dr. Jean Feldman will be presenting her ROCK, RHYME, WRITE, AND READ training. Dr. Jean will demonstrate how to develop language skills through songs, music, poems, movement, talking, and reading to children. Highlights will include: Applications from the National Early Literacy Panel and brain research, songs, finger plays, and chants to develop phonemic awareness, activities to extend nursery rhymes and traditional tunes, learning letters through movement and music, using children’s names to make print connections, ideas for literacy centers, stories children will want to hear again and again, small motor activities to nurture writing skills, simple, easy, inexpensive materials you can make homemade books children will want to make and read, and home/school activities.
