Social Studies Instructional Strategies that Engage the Brain for All Learners




This workshop is developed from Dr. Marcia Tate's book, Social Studies Worksheets Don't Grow Dendrites. We will present hands-on techniques that will help participants teach essential Social Studies skills in relevant, motivating, and engaging ways. Participants will learn how to incorporate the 20 brain-based strategies which are highly effective for diverse learners. This workshop meets the requirements of CSF 1 and 7.
