The American History Challenge: Helping Teach the Tougher TEKS (US History)




In this two-day, 12-hour institute, the Law-Related Education (LRE) team identified TEKS that are challenging to American History students. Working with scholars and consultants, participants will learn and receive valuable methods and resources. Content presentations are reinforced with practical activities which will be made available to participants on a flash drive. This institute is designed to target low performing high school US History TEKS and to complement existing curriculum. Lunch will be provided.

Lunch will be provided. CSF 1, 2, and 7 will be met on these days. For districts participating in the Instructional Support or Title II contract there will be no charge, the charge will be removed at checkout.”
