ELL Summer Series: Strategies for Teaching Refugees and Newcomers




Dr. Michelle Yzquierdo will present effective strategies for teaching refugee and newcomer students across content areas. Support and resources will be given for best practices to meet students' language, academic, and sociocultural needs. Participants will also receive a copy of the manual, Texas Student Refugee Framework: A Collaborative Approach.
