Questioning Strategies to Deepen Student Engagement and Raise Rigor




Build a culture of inquiry in the classroom! Both teachers and students should be asking strong questions. Quality questions are focused on the content, have an instructional function, and stipulate the expected cognitive level. Participants will explore ways to ramp up the rigor in their classrooms by applying higher order thinking strategies and quality questioning. Participants will analyze a process to help STUDENTS develop quality questions. This training meets the research based Critical Success Factors 1, 2, 4, and 7.
