Calling all administrators, teachers, and librarians! In recent years there has been a growing focus on the need to better prepare students for higher education and arm them with the skills and knowledge they will need to be successful innovators in a 21st century workforce. Our GT Students can be challenged in the class room their a STEM mindset. STEM and STEAM has gained popularity among educators, parents, corporations and institutions, as well as the President of the United States, as a way to fulfill this need. This session will help educators integrate STEAM experiences that involve two or more standards from Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and the Arts. This session will provide engaging activities to emphasize collaboration, communication, research, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and leave with interactive activities that can be used in the classroom and with their GT students immediately.
Important Workshop Information:
For districts participating in the Instructional Support contract, there will be no charge; the charge will be removed at checkout. Computers will be provided, however, feel free to bring your own device.
