Preparing For 2020: Let's Plan Your First Unit Together (8th Grade, US History)




Thinking about the possible challenge of a blended environment in the Fall is like eating a HUGE sandwich all at once! Join us as we learn to take one bite at a time to more successfully plan learning in the blended world. Our framework will include a “webinar sandwich design” that has seen lots of success! During this session, you will leave with a portion of your unit created for you , and a process to continue developing your unit. Be ready to actively engage and collaborate with others to learn how to build a fabulous sandwich for the Exploration and Colonization Unit. You will have 3 thirty-minute webinars and pieces of work to complete after webinar 1 & 2. You will have more than enough time to complete the required tasks and take a long break in between the webinars. Webinar 1- July 6, 10 am Webinar 2- July 10, 10 am Webinar 3- July 17, 10 am (Extra time is built in for those that want to go beyond the requirements to create a full lesson for students and gain 3 extra hours of credit.)
