Structuring Guided Math for Grades 3-8
Share
A teacher's goal in Guided Math is to engage students in instructional rigor utilizing groups of students around a particular standard. Teachers place students into small groups based on ability and students then work on specific standards or skills being taught in different stations, centers, or rotations. Differentiation is achieved through targeted, prescriptive instruction which meets the needs of the individual students or groups. Thus allowing student growth for all ability levels. Teachers will leave with an understanding of how to set up and maintain guided groups in the math classroom.
