Teaching Hard History: Slavery

Slavery has been called the "original sin" and "Achilles' heel" of America. It played a central role in the foundation of our nation and its ramifications are still haunting us today. In this 3 hour virtual training, participants will analyze the institution of slavery through the eyes of the people who endured it, while learning how to teach this hard history in the classroom. The training will begin at 9:00 am on Dec. 8.
