Teaching Hard History: Segregation

The fight for equality didn't end with the Civil War. From Reconstruction up through the 1920's, African Americans experienced a period of intense prejudice and terror that still has a profound effect on our nation. In this 3 hour virtual training, participants will analyze what has been called "the nadir of race relations", while learning how to teach this hard history in the classroom. The training will begin at 9:00 am on Jan. 26.
