First Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics--Basic Set Up and Java Programming for Autonomous and Driver Control

FTC is in UIL Robotics’ FIRST Division. Being a more economical option than the First Robotics Competition (FRC), FTC may be a better fit for budding robotics programs and/or smaller campuses. One of the largest hurdles for new teams is learning to code. Join us as Robert O’Connor walks you through the general principles of coding, programming for driver controlled robots, and programming for autonomous mode robots. Mr. O’Connor has been a FTC coach for the last 7 years, and has annually advanced teams to state and even qualified for advancement to Worlds. Mr. O’Connor does not have a background in computer science, but will teach you how easily general principles and tangible examples of code can be implemented and taken back to your team. REV Robotics has partnered with Mr. O’Connor to provide a $25 gift card that will be given as a door prize! Thank you REV!!!
