Trainings: Session Detail

Don't Stress the STR Test!

The Science of Teaching Reading Exam is a newly required prerequisite for any core subject elementary certification and ELAR certification through grade 8. Join us as you begin your preparation for the STR exam. All participants will be given categorized resources that align with the Domains and Competencies for the STR exam. A pre-assessment (using the sample questions released by Pearson) will be given to help students determine how to prioritize their study time. This session will give you access to a Google Classroom with organized resources that will support your learning in preparation for this exam. During the training, you will pick your lowest scored domain to begin targeted research and study. After the training, you will have continued access to all resources in order to maximize your study time. Our goal is to increase your confidence level and provide a purposeful study approach for this exam.
