G/T Online: Setting Standards for Success of G/T Students




In this course, you will learn more about using assessment to measure student growth and the quality of a district's services for gifted students. You will learn about the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) and how districts can use this project to ensure that gifted students are showing academic and personal growth. You will also learn how district services are helping gifted students reach the goals established in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. You will contribute ideas to the discussion board, share your own experiences, and research related information. You will take a 10-question test at the end of the course. This workshop meets the state mandate(19 TAC 89.2(1) specifically Section 4.1.1C of the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented students for teachers working toward the state required 30 hours of training for gifted educators.

For districts participating in the Advanced Academic (GT) contract there will be no charge, the charge will be removed at checkout. This is an online session. which will allow you to complete at your own pace.
