Not Always 'Right' a Triangular Story! Grades 6-Geometry

Triangles, Triangles, Triangles and not always “right” Triangles! As the story unfolds for students in Grades 6 - Geometry their knowledge about triangles is a documented struggle. Follow the life of a teacher as we unravel the mysteries surrounding triangles. How do we as teachers support them in their mastery of triangle relationships? How can we relate triangles to algebra? How do triangles appear in each grade level, and how do they vertically align across the standards? These are all questions that we will answer in our face to face session through student centered activities and inquiry. Teachers will leave with activities ready to be implemented in their Grade 6-Geometry math classrooms as part of their Triangular Story. Join us on November 5th from 9-4 as we develop an understanding of triangles.
