Pairing Inference with Text Complexity




Inferring is one of the most challenging reading skills for students to master. With this skill being 50% or more reading assessments, we need to learn how to support students in this skill. In this session, participants will take close look at inferring, text evidence and the paired passage component. Participants will learn strategies to teach and support these skills as well as classroom structures that offer a multitude of practice opportunities for students.
