Welder Qualification and Certification Workshop




This workshop will be provided by Rich DePue of certweldtest.com. Teachers will participate in two classroom days and then one day doing a skills demonstration.

Topics to be covered during the two classroom days include:
Basic TEA welder certifications, how to conduct, log in, submit and view certifications.
Review of advanced welder certifications and equipment needed.
How to use basic weld inspection tools.
Intro to new Robotic Welding Operator Training/cert.
Intro to new Pipeline Construction Trades Apprenticeship
Intro to new Ag. Mech, Welding, Manufacturing Shop Accreditation
Oxy Fuel Welding and Cutting
Welding Symbols and Joint Design

The hands-on day will include teacher practice, testing and certification of any TEA student welder certification options; teacher certification in Oxy Fuel Torch Operation; training on how to administer, submit, view, and interpret welder qualification testing documents; and establishing weld shop accreditation requirements and self-auditing. The hands-on day will include basic welder and advanced welder qualification.
