An Introduction to Human Trafficking

In this presentation, Anti-Trafficking Services Coordinator Ashley Jourdan provides an overview of human trafficking at the local and state level with a focus on commercial sexual exploitation of youth. She also discusses the profile of a trafficker, risk factors, complex trauma, and trauma informed care for victims. By the end of this workshop, participants will leave with an understanding of warning signs of sexually exploited youth along with detailed descriptions of local resources and reporting procedures.
