Teaching with Intent: Purposeful Text and Assignments Grades 3-5
Share
So you found an activity, book, or passage that you think fits your grade-level student expectations but does it really? Is it rigorous enough? Is it worth your time? How do you know? If you’ve ever had these thoughts after you found that super cute assignment online, then this session is for you. In this session, we will look at quantitative and qualitative measures to determine text complexity. We will also look at ways to determine whether assignments are at the appropriate grade level and come up with ideas to upgrade activities to increase rigor.
