Reimagine the Redesign: RLA STAAR 2.0 Grades 3-5




In 2019, HB 3906 passed sweeping changes to the current format of the STAAR, including online assessment, new question types, cross-curricular passages, and evidence-based writing. These changes will be implemented in the 2022-2023 school year. In this full-day session, we will look at the changes and how they more tightly align to the classroom experiences. We will identify supports as well as possible classroom implications for 3rd-5th grade Reading Language Arts classrooms. Participants will leave with strategies to help align best practices, including annotating, in ways that are technology-friendly.
