Written in the STAARS: Teaching Writing in US History
Share
Writing is a powerful tool for deep learning and critical thinking, yet many social studies teachers shy away from using it in their classrooms. Not any longer! In this session, participants will learn how to prepare their students for the short constructed writing questions on the new STAAR test in US History. Not only will teachers discover new ways to use writing in their classes, but also how to teach students the skills needed to become better writers.
