Newcomer and SIFE Students: What Educators Need to Know

Newcomer and SIFE students present unique needs that districts often struggle to understand and meet. We will discuss the social-emotional needs and culturally responsive practices necessary to serve newcomer and SIFE students. We will also provide instructional strategies for the classroom.

Newcomer kits with language acquisition support materials will be included with session attendance.
