On the Move
Share
Is it overwhelming thinking of transitioning a student with complex access needs into the classroom with their peers? This course is focused on that process and will provide timelines, useful documents, strategies and follow-up coaching. The content in this training aligns with the information in Chapter 7 of Jorgensen (2018), It’s More Than “Just Being In:” Creating Authentic Inclusion for Students with Complex Support Needs. After this course you will be able to address inclusion concerns with the “inquiry over advocacy” approach, construct a strong implementation team and identify steps the team can take to successfully transition a student from a self-contained classroom to a general education classroom. Let’s get “On the Move” Together!
