Writing across the curriculum is not limited to Reading Language Arts. In this session, you will learn several high-leverage writing strategies that can be used in all grade levels and content areas to ready your students for the Short Constructed Response and Extended Constructed Response STAAR Writing prompts. You will gain background knowledge on writing across the curriculum and its importance as well as brainstorm ways to use quick writes in the classroom. You will experience effective instructional practices while learning about writing in all content areas. By the end of the training, you will be able to plan for implementing quick writes, instructional strategies, and quick checks in your classroom. Writing is challenging but will empower students to succeed in their learning and be successful on STAAR 2.0 Redesign.
