Building Middle School Writers: Constructing Responses Using TDQs




In this session, we will dig deep into text-dependent questions (TDQs), from the foundations of building high-level questions to supporting students in constructing responses.  We will define strong text-dependent questions, create questions to use in your classroom, and work through instructional strategies to support all students in responding to TDQs.  If your students are struggling with constructed responses, developing a response, or just need to refine and tweak their writing, then this session is for you!
