This course explores why food safety is important and gives guidance on how food service personnel can assure the preparation and service of safe foods. Learn about the HACCP system and how it is designed to prevent food handling problems before they happen by identifying and controlling possible hazards that can contaminate food as it flows through a facility.

Effective September 1, 2016,  ALL school food service employees must have this certification to help promote the service of safe food. It is a basic overview of food safety principles and practices that are necessary to ensure you serve safe food at your establishment.

There is a $12.00 fee per participant to receive the Food Handler’s Certificate.
