WEBINAR 1: Understanding the Foundations of Employment Services and Implementing Discovery and Assessment
Share
Customized Employment (CE) became a part of federal law with the passage of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in 2014 and the discovery process is the foundation of CE. The discovery process is a person-centered approach to learning about a student's passions, likes, dislikes, skills, ideal work environment, and support needs, to identify job and career possibilities. This session will discuss the foundations of effective employment services and introduce the Positive Personal Profile as a key tool to engage multiple people who know the student and build a picture that jumpstarts the job development process.
