GT 30-Hour Training Day 1: Nature and Needs

In this session, participants will learn about the cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics of gifted students. Participants will share their own experiences and research information. This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). This workshop meets the Texas State Plan requirements for 30-Hour Initial Training.

Important Session Information:

Most sessions are free to Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees. If not in a Tailor-Made package, the fee for this 30-hour training is $75 per day per participant plus the cost of materials.
