Fentanyl Contamination Training




This training equips school staff with essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, including fentanyl-related incidents, in the school setting. Participants will learn to: • Identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid-related overdose. • Administer an opioid antagonist (e.g., naloxone/Narcan). • Implement emergency procedures when responding to an overdose. • Properly store and dispose of opioid antagonists. Through engaging discussions and scenario-based activities, school personnel will understand the skills needed to take life-saving actions to protect both students and staff.

Important Session Information:


This session will provide fentanyl contamination training to school districts and charter schools as identified under Rider 85 of the General Appropriations Act and in accordance with the purposes of Regional Education Service Centers as established in TEC §8.002
