BIP and MDR - Administrators Overview
Share
Designed specifically for campus administrators and leadership teams, this session will provide a comprehensive review of the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) process and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs). Participants will explore the campus leader’s role in ensuring that BIPs are developed, implemented, and monitored with fidelity. This training will cover the legal framework of MDRs, emphasizing the importance of timely, data-informed decision-making and appropriate documentation. Case studies will walk participants through real-world MDR scenarios to help clarify the manifestation review process and develop effective supports and next steps when behaviors are found (or not found) to be related to a student’s disability. Administrators will leave with practical tools and a clear understanding of their role in compliance, collaboration, and implementation oversight.
