From Zero to Low Identification: Everyday Heroes in Action
Share
Not all heroes wear capes. Some work behind the scenes to ensure every student is seen, supported, and connected. When school systems report zero or very low McKinney-Vento identification, it may not reflect the true needs of students experiencing homelessness. In this interactive session, participants will step into their role as everyday heroes by exploring common barriers to identification, including gaps in awareness, systems, training, and trust. Through real-world scenarios, guided discussion, and hands-on activities, attendees will reflect on their current practices, uncover hidden gaps, and develop practical strategies to strengthen identification processes. Join us as we work together to unmask opportunities for growth and ensure no student goes unseen.
