Extending and Enriching Your Class Time with the Flipped Classroom
Share
Have you heard of the "flipped classroom", where students learn new material at home, opening up class time for practice problems, lab work, projects, and applications of material? Want to learn more? Come and discuss this ideology and learn how it is being used in science and math classrooms across Texas and the United States. Learn alongside a teacher who has "flipped" her Algebra II, AP Calculus, and Anatomy & Physiology classes. We will examine some of the many benefits, some of the challenges, and some of the technologies (including laptops, iPads, instructional videos, and instructional websites) that can be used for a "flip". More hands-on time to go deeper with your students - what's not to love?
