ARD Interpreter Essentials: Interpreting ARD Meetings with Confidence

This session is a foundational training for interpreters supporting special education IEP meetings. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the Admission, Review, Dismissal (ARD) process, essential SPED terminology, interpreter roles and responsibilities, legal and ethical considerations, and best practices for facilitating accurate communication between schools and families. Participants will also receive access to an ARD Interpreter Resource Toolkit with practical tools and reference materials to support effective ARD interpretation.
